5.10. monday.com
Overview
Plansom is an AI work platform that helps teams set goals, track execution, and get results with AI agents. Connecting monday.com lets your Plansom agents work with your monday boards, items, updates, docs and meeting notes. Agents can tell you what's open or stuck, keep monday up to date, and turn your monday work into Plansom goals and tasks your team can track, all from inside Plansom's AI agent chat.
How It Works
Once monday.com is connected and added to an agent, you can ask that agent about your monday work in plain language, and it answers using your live monday data. For example, you can ask it to:
- See what's open: "What's on my monday.com Website Relaunch Q4 board? Summarise the open items by status."
- Turn monday work into a plan: "Create a Plansom goal 'Launch the new website by end of November' and add a Plansom task for each open item on my monday Website Relaunch Q4 board, with the same due dates." Plansom is a goals and tasks platform, not just a Q&A chat, so the agent can act on what it finds.
- Follow up on blockers in both tools: "Which items on that monday board are stuck or overdue? Add a comment on each in monday saying 'Tracked in Plansom — following up this week', and create a high-priority follow-up task in Plansom for each one."
- Get a progress update: "Give me a one-paragraph progress update on the website launch goal in Plansom."

Before the agent creates a goal or task in Plansom, it shows you a draft and asks you to confirm. Tasks the agent creates live under the goal they move forward, so you can track progress in Work → Goals and see each next step in My day.

When you ask the agent to change something in monday, such as adding a comment (an "update", in monday's terms) or changing an item's status, it makes the change right away. Be specific about which board or item you mean.
What the agent can do in monday.com
- Read: search boards, items, docs and updates; see a board's items, columns, owners and activity; read docs; read meeting notes from monday's AI Notetaker; and, if your team uses monday dev, read sprints.
- Write: create and update items (including status, owner and due date), post updates (comments) on items, create and edit docs, add groups and boards, and send monday notifications.
The agent can't delete anything in monday, and it can't change workspaces, automations or account settings.
What you need
- A monday.com account (MCP is available on every monday plan, including Free). Viewers can't use AI connections like this one, and guests can only on the Enterprise plan.
- A Plansom account. Sign up if you don't have one yet.
- If you're the first person in your monday account to connect Plansom, a monday admin to approve it (see Before You Connect).
Each team member connects their own monday account. The agent acts as that person and works only with what they can already see and do in monday. Everything the agent changes in monday appears as made by that person.
monday limits how many API calls an account can make each day, based on its plan, and the agent's monday actions count toward that limit. Each question you ask can use several actions. monday sets these limits and may change them; see monday's rate limits for the current numbers.
Before You Connect
monday.com asks an admin to approve outside AI tools before they can work with an account's data. Plansom needs this approval once per monday account, not once per person.
If you're a monday admin
You don't need to do anything in advance. When you connect monday.com as described in Connect monday.com, monday's screen shows a "You're an account admin" note. Clicking Authorize connects your own account and approves Plansom for everyone in your monday account at the same time.
After that, Plansom appears in monday under Administration → Connections → Dynamic connectors, in the Connections tab, listed by its address, https://api.prod.plansom.com, with the status Active.

On the same page:
- Pending requests lists requests from members who tried to connect a tool your account hasn't approved yet.
- Connector requests controls which roles can send those requests.
- Auto-approve new dynamic connectors is off by default, and monday marks it as dangerous. You don't need to turn it on for Plansom: approving Plansom once is enough.
If you're a monday member
- If Plansom is already approved for your monday account, just connect as described below. Your screen won't show the admin note, and nothing else is needed.
- If no one has approved Plansom yet, ask a monday admin to approve it first. The simplest way is for an admin to connect monday.com in Plansom once themselves. Depending on your account's settings, monday may also let you send a request, which an admin can approve under Pending requests.
Connect monday.com
- Log in to Plansom, or sign up if you do not have an account yet
- Go to Resources → Agents in the left sidebar and open the Connectors tab
- Find monday.com and click Connect monday.com

- Log in to monday.com if asked. If you belong to more than one monday account, pick the right one in the account menu in the top-right corner of monday's screen.
- monday shows "Get work done with Plansom (api.prod.plansom.com) using monday.com". Click Authorize.

About this screen:
- "You're an account admin": shown only to monday admins. See Before You Connect.
- "Plansom can do anything you can do in monday.com": this is monday's standard wording. In practice, Plansom's agent works only within your own monday permissions and only with the actions listed in What the agent can do. It can't delete anything.
If the connection doesn't go as expected, see Troubleshooting.
After You Connect
Once you've connected, you are taken back to Plansom, and Plansom shows a "monday.com connected" confirmation message.

In Resources → Agents → Connectors, monday.com now shows a switch that is turned on, which means it's connected.

To start using it, add monday.com to an agent: create a new agent or open an existing one, click + next to What tools does it need?, open the Productivity tab in Add a tool, and select monday.com — Boards, items, docs and meetings. Add Plansom — Get things done as a tool too, so the agent can create goals and tasks from your monday work.

To start chatting with that agent, go to Resources → Agents in the left sidebar, find the agent's card, and click Chat on it. That agent can now use monday.com in conversations, as shown above in How It Works.
Troubleshooting
- You can't finish connecting, or monday says an admin needs to approve the connection: Plansom hasn't been approved for your monday account yet. Ask a monday admin to approve it, as described in Before You Connect, then connect again.
- monday's screen doesn't appear, or you aren't taken back to Plansom after connecting: try connecting again from Resources → Agents → Connectors.
- The agent doesn't find a board or item you expect: the agent only sees what your monday account can access, in the monday account you chose when connecting. To use a different monday account, disconnect monday.com and connect again, choosing that account.
- The agent says monday's limit has been reached: your monday account has used up its daily API calls (see What you need). Try again later, or ask your monday admin about a plan with a higher limit.
- The agent can't reach monday, but monday.com still shows as connected in Plansom: a monday admin may have revoked Plansom's access (see Removing access in monday.com). Ask them to restore it, then disconnect monday.com in Resources → Agents → Connectors and connect it again.
- The agent asks you to connect monday.com: your monday connection was removed. Connect it again as described in Connect monday.com.
If the issue persists, contact support.
Disconnect monday.com
- Go to Resources → Agents in the left sidebar and open the Connectors tab
- Find monday.com and turn off its switch
- Click Disconnect to confirm

Plansom shows a "monday.com disconnected" message, and monday.com shows Connect monday.com again.

Disconnecting immediately stops Plansom from using your monday account. It does not delete any goals, tasks, or other Plansom records already created, and it doesn't change anything in monday. Plansom stays approved for your monday account, so you or your teammates can connect again at any time.
Removing access in monday.com
A monday admin can also remove Plansom's access from monday's side. This applies to everyone in your monday account, not just one person:
- In monday, open Administration → Connections → Dynamic connectors
- In the Connections tab, find
https://api.prod.plansom.com, click … at the end of its row, and choose Revoke access

The status changes to Revoked, and Plansom's agents can no longer use monday for anyone in that account. To allow Plansom again, choose Restore access from the same menu. Items, updates, and other content the agent added to monday stay in monday.
If you're not an admin and only want to stop Plansom using your own monday account, disconnect it in Plansom as described in Disconnect monday.com.
