4.6.4. How to Describe What You Want

Every task in Plansom begins with a description. It gives context so anyone who opens the task understands what it is, why it matters and what success looks like.

A good description has three parts:

  • What needs to be done: state the task in clear, plain words
  • How it will be done: Briefly outline the method or approach
  • Why it matters / What success looks like: Align the task to the bigger goal and show the expected outcome
